The Handling of Personal Information

Following the Personal Information Policy, Adire Legal Professional Corporation will do the following with collected personal information.

1.The Purpose of Personal Information

The firm will acquire information for the purpose our client has requested. This information will be used in one of the following contexts. Any unauthorized use of personal information is strictly forbidden

  1. To consolidate person debt or contact a client
  2. To have a consultation about dept consolidation or to contact about a consultation.
  3. To contact a client concerning a regular case
  4. Registering of a business or contact about the registering of a business
  5. To contact about consultations
  6. To reply to inquiries
  7. Human affairs and retirement management of current and former employees

*The personal information is entered into a special program that is privately contained and the information is only available to those relevant to the client’s consultation.

2.Personal information and Third party offers

Except for the following circumstances listed below, the client’s personal information will not be given to a third party without prior consent from the client.

  1. When we are legally required to submit information
  2. To protect a person's safety, life, or property, and there is insufficient time to gain the consent of the client
  3. For improvement of public safety, or the safety and welfare of children, and there is insufficient time to gain the consent of the client
  4. When a public or private organization has a legal need for information and our cooperation is requested to help the organization.

3.Consignment of Personal Information

When a client entrusts the firm with personal information, it is handed over on the understanding it will handled carefully and secure.

4.Arbitrariness of giving out Personal Information

According to the wishes of the client, the passing out of personal information can be refused, however in these cases the purpose in number 1 cannot be completed sometimes.

The procedure for requesting personal information

1.Request for Personal Information Explanation

  1. Personal Information regarding debt consolidation
  2. Personal Information regarding a consultation
  3. Personal Information regarding a regular case
  4. Personal Information regarding the registering of a business
  5. Personal Information regarding business advisement
  6. Personal Information regarding an inquiry
  7. Personal Information regarding current or former staff

2.Procedure of disclosing Personal Information

Personal Information can be corrected, extra information added, deleted, use by the firm terminated, and the offering information to a third party terminated with a notification from the client, or proxy. Please send a letter titled, “Request to disclose personal information” or “Request to correct personal information”. In the letter include all the necessary information and send to the address stated above in number 5. In the event of requesting personal information to be disclosed, please include the request inside a sealed envelope. The fee for requesting information is 490 yen.

3.The procedure for not disclosing Personal Information

  1. Except for the below listed exceptions, we will not disclose personal information upon a notification from the client or a proxy of the client.

    1.If there is a concern about the safety, property or life of the client or someone else
    2.The firm would be creating an obstacle by not disclosing the information
    3.When not disclosing personal information is illegal

  2. These procedures are in place for the correction of incorrect information or the addition and subtraction of information. In the event that a client wishes to change personal information that is correct, a special form is necessary for this type of change.
